This portrait shows an elderly man with wide blue eyes, tousled pale blond hair, and a long white beard, set against a hazy background of muted mauves, teal, and ochre. Loose brushwork builds the face and beard in soft, layered strokes, while the darker garment anchors the lower edge. The signature appears in the lower right corner, reinforcing the intimate, hand-painted finish.
